It was good escapism. It wasn’t earth-shattering in any way, but it was a fun read.
Sarah was less a character, with an arc, and more a passive player to which things happened. Her background story was “Catholic girl who has been cloistered from the larger world” and everything was just her reactions as such to the world around her rather than her initiating actions to which the world responded.
