Spoiler : he dies in the end.

That was what I told my friend, Nicole, after I finished the book, I think that was Thanksgiving two falls past. I cried when Da Vinci died; yeah, of course I knew it was coming, but, for some odd reason I hoped that he, of all humans, could escape that sign at the end of the highway.

Leonardo Da Vinci is a great read. Isaacson’s language flows wonderfully and keeps the reader engaged as we explore the life of one of history’s most compelling creatives. I love the merger of science and art in Da Vinci. His brilliance and the honesty about the varied interests and inability commit to any one thing or call any one thing (including the “Mona Lisa”) complete.

This was my first Isaacson, followed by Jobs and a few others. Da Vinci is still my favorite.
